Breathe Free: The Plan to Stop Smoking Director's Kit (Nine Sessions)
Nine sessions presented over a four-week period give participants the physical preparation, mental conditioning, social support, and spiritual renewal they need to break free from tobacco. Proven effective by research at the Center for Health Promotion at Loma Linda University. The Director’s Kit includes the following:
• Part 1: Director’s Manual. This comprehensive how-to explanation of the entire program includes a planning and advertising guide for attracting a large group, detailed job descriptions for all staff members, the Partner’s Kit manuscript, evaluation procedures, and a sample of the diploma, button, advertising flier, poser, and Personal Plan Booklet.
• Part 2: Program Scripts. An expanded outline is provided. When the traditional doctor-minister team is not available, laymen may competently conduct the plan. After purchasing one complete Director’s Kit, additional copies of the script may be purchased alone.
• Part 3: Support Group Facilitator’s Kit. This kit prepares volunteers to give personal support to participants during and after the meetings. It explains how to lead small-group discussions, make friends with participants, and follow through with phone and personal visits. Sample pamphlets, button, diplomas, and the Personal Plan Book.
